Mizoram PSC Headmaster 2026 Vacancy Details

As per the MPSC official notification, a total of 164 headmaster to be recruited for the government middle school in the entire state of Mizoram. These are Gazetted Group 'B' posts governed by the Mizoram School Education Department (Group B Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2016. Since this is a departmental exam, only currently serving eligible employees can apply, which I already told you earlier. It is not open to the general public.

Eligibility Criteria

This is a Limited Departmental Examination, which means only in-service candidates are eligible. The eligibility condition is:

• Candidates must be a Trained Graduate Middle School Teacher or a Trained Graduate Middle School Hindi Teacher
• Must have not less than 5 (five) years of regular service in the grade

If you don't meet both of these conditions together, you will not be eligible to apply. Please check your service record carefully before submitting your application.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed at Level 9 in the Pay Matrix, which is a significant pay upgrade and comes with the benefits of a Gazetted post. This makes this recruitment a very attractive promotion opportunity for eligible teaching staff.

1. Visit the official MPSC online portal: https://mpsconline.mizoram.gov.in
2. If you haven't registered yet, complete One Time Registration (OTR) first — this must be done by 4:00 PM on the last date, 22/05/2026, of application submission
3. Log in with your registered credentials
4. Fill in the application form carefully with the correct details
5. Make the required application fee payment
6. If paying through UPI, use only the mobile number registered during One Time Registration — otherwise payment may not be accepted
7. After payment, verify that your application is actually submitted — MPSC will not entertain any claim if the application was not properly submitted after payment
8. Keep a copy of your submitted application for future reference

Note: for Persons with Disabilities (PwD): PwD candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
